ABOUT SHEA BUTTER

This exotic-sounding cream originates from the Karite nut tree, grown in the savannahs of central Africa. These ancient trees live for three hundreds years and have been a godsend to Africans. Shea butter, a product of the oil extracted from Karite nuts, has been used by healers for thousands of years for a multitude of skin ailments, including dermatitis, painful dryness, and chaffed skin.

Though only recently sought after in the U.S., for decades Africans and Europeans have praised the nourishing properties of shea butter, and many believe it protects, heals, and improves skin better than any other oil.
